I’m an East Perth resident and city worker with 16 years of local government experience.

I’m a Justice of the Peace and a qualified Town Planner working in Project Management.

I’m community-minded and offer my knowledge of best practice to ensure expectations of residents and businesses are met by the City of Perth.

My Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts (Urban and Regional Planning) with Honours – I wrote my dissertation on the link between transport mode integration and the adaptive reuse of vacant inner-city spaces. I have practiced as a town planner in two large metropolitan local governments, served as a Commissioner on the Western Australian Planning Commission, as well as two Development Assessment Panels, and Chaired the Policy Committee tasked with overseeing town planning policies.

Diploma of Project Management – Working across large heavy rail infrastructure and IT projects, my current role has equipped me with skills to understand how to manage Government projects in terms of cost, risk, scheduling, and procurement activities.

Diploma of Music– Training in piano, saxophone, and voice. I’ve been a part of many local productions, including with FringeWorld Perth, and have performed at venues across the city. I live an active cultural life and promote Perth’s vibrancy at every opportunity.

Certificate III in Retail – I’m a former restaurant manager of 6yrs having developed strong customer service and efficiency skills - I know the value of a high-performing team no matter the situation.

My Volunteering

I’m passionate about making my community and local area a better place to live however I can. Some of my volunteer roles have included:

Justice of the Peace for the State of Western Australia: Certified Documents, Affidavits, Statutory Declarations, Search Warrants, and Bail.

Vice-President of the Not-For-Profit Independent Theatre Association of WA Inc. promoting independent WA community theatre.

Formerly a Committee Member for the Cancer Council’s Relay for Life (pictured);

Secretary and a Committee Member for urban think tank FuturePerth, promoting an integrated, vibrant, and sustainable Perth.

I have taken part in the YMCA’s Youth Parliament as Minister for Local Government and presented at the Perth Youth Advisory Council’s YACtion to encourage youth participation in local government.

I’ve also volunteered as Building Manager to organise and lead tours of Council House with Open House Perth.
